2025 Impact Report
SPEAK YOUR TRUTH TODAY
CELEBRATED IT’S 6 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
Despite a difficult year in fundraising for nonprofits nationwide, we continued deepening relationships with local partners and developed new, meaningful collaborations.
Join us as we take a look back on 2025 and all we accomplished...
January…
In January, we were awarded a $5,000 grant from the Stanley W. Ekstrom Foundation - providing critical support towards volunteer training and our DV Ambassador’s Program.
February…
On February 14th, we celebrated our 6 year anniversary - welcoming 7 new Monarchs to our monthly donor program and sharing quotes and photos from the past 6 years of unforgettable events, notable growth, and meaningful impact.
Additionally, we joined OC United for the 4th annual Galentine’s Day event, celebrating survivors within their in-person support group - providing make-up and skin care products through our ThriveCausemetics partnership to 40+ women.
March…
In March, our Board Chair, Hannah GS, joined our partners Our Wave and NO MORE to lead a panel at the 69th Annual United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York.
April…
In April, we celebrated Sexual Assault Awareness Month and joined our local partner Radiant Futures at our first Hip HOPE Cardio event collaboration with Mix Academy, providing movement that uplifts and inspires families within Orange County. We got groovy and moved our bodies alongside 30+ parents and kids!
May…
In May, we hosted a 2nd annual Mother’s Day Celebration in collaboration with OC United, honoring the women and moms in their local support group. Madero 1899 donated hundreds of flowers, Chick-Fil-A Fullerton provided delicious catering, and Brooke of Brooke Bloom Co. led a wonderful bouquet making class for the women.

June…
In June, Janell, our Marketing and Events Associate, grew local partnerships by participating in Casa De La Familia’s resource fair, connecting with financial advisors to offer financial literacy workshops, and coordinating more CorePower Yoga donation classes.
July…
In July, we hosted 5 volunteers and 3 staff members at our 4-day, 3-night Rest, Reflect, and Rise Retreat in Las Vegas! It was a beautiful time together, reaffirming the importance of in-person collaboration and training. Our previous Board Chair, Megan Choe, led a 5-hour Trauma-Informed Care Training, and Hannah’s aunts, Ginger & Laurie, provided nourishing home-made meals throughout the weekend.
As a small, virtual organization, in-person togetherness is rare and vital. We maximized our time by including a team brainstorming session (to discuss areas of improvement in team management, onboarding, and support group moderation), a yoga & sound bowl meditation focused on rest and relaxation, an award ceremony to celebrate all the individuals (present and online) who have dedicated countless hours towards supporting survivors, and time for self-care and journaling throughout the weekend. As front-line advocates witnessing vicarious second-hand trauma, the weekend honored and valued them, showing the importance of rest, self-reflection and healing.

August…
Janell attended the 2025 National Sexual Assault Conference in Anaheim, CA, representing SYTT, meeting up with our Our Wave partners, and learning of more helpful resources for our support group members and team.

September…
As we prepared for our annual DVAM campaign, we celebrated our dear staff member Taylor, who moved on from her role as Marketing & Events Manager after 4+ years with us. Taylor wore many hats for SYTT over the years, but was pivotal in forming our partnerships with Our Wave & No More, and developing our NO MORE Silence, Speak Your Truth platform. If you have enjoyed reading our email newsletters or seeing social posts over the years, then you likely have her to thank for the nuggets of goodness and uplifting energy she radiated through her words.

October…
We revamped our annual October campaign and launched Get Active 4 DVAM - a fun and interactive way to support survivors through community activism all month long. Together we played virtual BINGO and raised $6,022.74. We collaborated with Radiant Futures to launch a new Share Your Truth LIVE podcast episode, partnered with CorePower Yoga to host 5 donation classes, and joined Tiffany Elise, an SYTT Volunteer to offer a virtual Move with Love dance class.
In addition to highlighting a survivor’s story every single day throughout October, we honored survivor voices during the 3rd annual Open Mic Night collaboration with Radiant Futures and The Night Owl. While we quite didn’t reach our fundraising goal, we were greatly encouraged by the widespread community support and activism, and increased our local event collaborations by 233% from 2024. It was a beautiful and full month of events and awareness!
November…
We collaborated with Boxing For Grief and hosted a table at their Punching Our Pain Into Purpose event.
December…
Our Holiday Assistance Program provided 15 survivors and their 32 children Amazon wishlist items and SYTT Care Packages that included hand written cards, food gift cards, cellular devices, tablets, skin-care and make-up items during a difficult and financially straining season for them.
